Her kommer 10 Instagram vennlige steder i Indonesia, hovedsakelig Bali, men også Lombok! Kanskje dere har vært der selv og har noen andre kule steder å dele med meg? Hope so!
Whenever I travel Im always in search of unique places to photograph. Iconic colourful walls like the picture above is always a good idea, and the same with waterfalls and turquoise beaches, but the best ones always end up being the ones you stumble upon randomly on the way. Here I am sharing 10 Instagram worthy places in Indonesia, mostly Bali, but also a few in Lombok. Maybe you have been there yourself and have a couple you would like to share with me as well?
1. Nusa Penida - Kelingking Beach.
This view (photo above) is beyond beautiful and you will find it about an hour from the port you will arrive in on the island Nusa Penida. Rent a scooter in the port, ask for a map and head to Kelingking Beach and you will see what Im talking about! There is also a deserted beach down there, if you feel like hiking!
2. Sea Circus Wall
This wall must be the most Instagrammed wall in Bali, and there is no doubt why! This is the front of the restaurant Sea Circus in the center of Seminyak. Cute and colourful!
3. Sunset swings in Gili Trawangan
Sunset at Gili largest island is breathtaking, and what makes it even more unforgettable is when you can swing your way into sunset. It takes about 15 minutes with a bike from the "port" of Gili T to find these swings. And you can get to the Gili from Lombok (10 minutes with a boat) or from Bali (about 2,5 hour boat ride).
4. Benang Stokel Waterfall on Lombok
Lombok is way less touristy than Bali, and the nature is if possible even more lush and green! Benang Stokel is a huge, untouched beauty in the jungle of Lombok. About 1,5 drive from the capital Mataram. Definitely worth a visit!
5. Tegalalang Rice Terrace in Ubud
A very iconic and a little touristy part of your trip to Bali! The rice terraces in Ubud are very big and beautiful and definitely worth a visit, its Bali in a nutshell. The kind of photo you would use as a postcard!
6. Tibumana waterfall in Ubud
One of the less busy waterfalls in Ubud, about a 40 minute drive from the center. You should definitely visit as early as possible in the morning, I suggest around sunrise so you can have a jungle swim all by yourself!
7. Le Pirate Beach Club
You might not get to stay here, but you can still visit the beach club! Le Pirate Beach is a beach club and accommodation on Nusa Ceningan and Gili Trawangan, such an iconic little hip place with perfect island vibes. You have probably seen the tiny turquoise and white huts on Instagram, am I right?
8. Volcano view of Bali
Bali has two active volcanos Mount Batur and Mount Agung. The volcano view from both Gili T and Nusa Lembongan is beyond beautiful, especially around sunset! Look out when the sky is clear! If you are up for a sunrise hike, you can also get some very cool shots of the volcano if you feel like joining an organised trip!
9. Suluban beach - Uluwatu
Suluban Beach is underneath the iconic restaurant/bar Single Fin in Uluwatu. When the tides are low you can walk through a cave and find a beautiful beach on the other side! This is also a very popular place for surfers and for sunset views from the bar above! Loads of photo opportunities here!
10. Flat lay meals! Cheesy but true!
Ok this sounds strange, but not for someone who loves food photos! If you are into alternative, plant based and colourful food, I suggest you pop into either The Shady Shack, Peloton Supershop, Nook, Crate Cafe or Nalu Bowl for the ultimate flat lay food photo opportunity! So beautiful that you dont want to eat it!
